How can I highlight my pdf files with my graphic tablet?

All of my classes are heavy on article reading. I don't want to print out all these pages just so I can write notes and highlight important passages - especially if I don't have to.

I have a graphic tablet so I'd like to use that to mark notes on my pdf article files.

I've only had luck with opening the pdf file in photoshop, which only allows one page in the window at a time.

Is there anything easier?

This is kind of choppy, let me know if you need more info.

thanks! How can I highlight my pdf files with my graphic tablet?
Your graphics tablet is really not going to make any difference in whether you can highlight something; it's not really a hardward function, it would be a software function. And photoshop will not let you view more than 1 page at a time because that's just the way Photoshop works.

Now, if you have full Acrobat (as opposed to just Acrobat Reader), you might be able to open the pdfs there and highlight passages. I don't know, I haven't tried it, but it's probably your best bet. On the other hand I just tested something in Reader, there is a Snapshot tool that will let you essentially take a picture of the page or section or paragraph (whatever you select) and load it into the Clipboard. From there you can paste it into another document. I don't know if that would really help you, but it might be a way to select and store specific passages you need, and to maybe add a document and page reference that you could use. So you could end up with a document that was a series of passages from your different articles, with a page and article reference that you added to make it easy to locate later. It's manual work, but it's an alternative. (And that way you could create a document that would work for you however you wanted.)

I have to wonder if there isn't some sort of note-taking/highlighting software or perhaps a PDF plugin that would accomplish what you want.
