How do you highlight text in PDF files?

How do you highlight text in PDF files? By highlighting I mean highlighting the text and saving the new/edited file just the way we do it in MS Word.


When reading some PDF file, I find some text important but i am uable to highlight it.


Currently I am using Adobe Acrobat reader v7.0.9 downloaded which came installed on my laptop.How do you highlight text in PDF files?
On your Acrobat Toolbar there is a button marked with what looks like a capital T. Just click on that and then highlight your text.
