How do I highlight certain lines in PDF's?

Supposedly one just selects the appropriate cursor, selects the text and then clicks highlight but I dont have that option. I also cant see any commenting toolbar, nor do I have the option for one. I'm using adobe reader 7.0

Thanks

To select text in Reader 7 (old version!), click on the Text Icon First, It's a Capital ';T';. Then, select and copy as you normally would in any program.

If this won't work, the author may have made the PDF un-copyable. Click on the Edit Tab %26gt; Security (I think) and see what restrictions the author applied.How do I highlight certain lines in PDF's?
If you had said ';Highlight in Yellow', Your question would have been clearer, I assumed when you said ';Highlight';, you meant ';Select';.

Please read paragraph 2. ';see what restrictions the author applied.';
