why do you think humans are very good at highlighting the negatives and missing positives, examples!?Humans are very good at highlighting the negatives and missing positives?
To my point of view,
1)People take positive as normal. Negative as bad.
2)There are negatives that cause hurt in people heart and that make people angry and want to do something to it.
3)Negatives are easily to judge.
4) Negatives are earlier to point out of so many 'Normal'.
5) People normally look out for perfection and that make their mind to look out for negatives
6) People don't know how to praise the positive
7) People standard of positive are so high that positive are below theirs and negatives are far away from acceptable.Humans are very good at highlighting the negatives and missing positives?
cos every1 is good at self critism
Is that a question or just an observation?
Humans have the unique ability to rationalize any behavior that they see fit.
';My employer does not pay me what I'm worth so I steal to make up the difference';
';They own so much stuff that I can take this little bit, they won't miss it';
';They have so much money that they should give me some';
';The world owes ME something just because I am here';
';God told me to kill the sinners';
There is so much that people can convince themselves as being right. Literally anything you want to justify to yourself you can. If you say it to yourself enough, it becomes fact.
Wouldn't it be good if people were to find the good in everything. and in every person.
Sometimes I think people feel better about themselves when they can criticize other people. It's sort of a self righteousneous thing. That's IF we are talking about the negatives and positives in people. If we are talking about other things, like food or art, I think it is more of a survival mechanism...if it tastes or looks bad, we stay away from it and don't even bother noticing the positives.
I know what you mean because I do that most of the time. The reason? I dont know I wish I knew maybe I wouldnt think so negative and would see the more positive side.
i don't know why that is, but you are right. Somehow that's how most of our minds have been ';trained';. A good example I like to use is when I am at work, 50 people could come by and praise me for some of my work and tell me how well I'm doing, and 1 person could say something negative about my work, and it's that ONE comment that I remember and focus on. I tend to forget the other 50 that said I am doing great.
cuz they failed electrician school, duh
