It is a PDF from Devry. They wont let you copy text because of copyright reasons. I know the computer is reading it as text because windows vista will read it out loud to me but the copy and paste function are disabled!
All I want is to be able to have it read certain sections out loud to me but the way it is right now it reads EVERYTHING on the page which includes a lot of stuff that makes my idea unpractical.
I have contacted Devry and they told me that they could not help me because that would go against their policy of making it as difficult and expensive as possible to learn anything.
Please help! How can I fix this?I have a PDF that wont let me copy text from it (ie highlight, ctrl + c). How can I make it so that I can?
print it out, and scan it in and ocr it
or similarily print screen it, paste it into adobe photoshop - change the resolution to 300 dpi, save it and then point the ocr software at thatI have a PDF that wont let me copy text from it (ie highlight, ctrl + c). How can I make it so that I can?
Wow, for a university they seem pretty careless about accessibility needs of their students/prospective students!
You could try saving the PDF to your computer then, go to the link below and convert the file to HTML. It should be 5mb or less though.
Try:
1. Opening it in Microsoft Word 2007 %26amp; trying it.
2. Clicking on the ';Select'; icon and then trying a copy/paste.
3. Print %26amp; Scan it.
This is why places create PDF documents.
you can't directly, the document's security setting will stop you.
